A new way to view stress (TED talk) + CBT

Good Thursday folks,

I came across a TED talk last night which looks at stress not as the ‘RED ALERT’ which many of us perceive it as, but as the body preparing to give us a greater ability to cope / excel with whatever circumstances are getting us going.

Quite interesting. I view this as a sort of ‘new software’ for one’s own venture into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. As we change the way that we perceive a biological and/or neurological function we are so affected differently. I read a short book which probably got me out of a heart attack, but at present I cannot think what the title of the book is. When I find it I will amend this post with said title. Below is a video on CBT.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Techniques

Below is the TED talk in question which re-brands stress. I for one am quite interested in putting this into practice.

About Ossington

I often think but seldom share these thoughts. And if the product of my thinking is to affect anything but my own sense of satisfaction, then surely it must be shared. Here you may try to know what I believe to know.
