A slice of life – The Challenger Disaster: CNN Live Coverage 11 A.M – 12 P.M

The Challenger disaster cost the lives of seven forward thinking humans, in the name of progress. Quite terrible, but it happened and here it is. At a later date I will post a similar ‘slice of life’ which features the 9/11 event.

Coverage of the 25th Space Shuttle launch begins at 11:34:22 A.M E.S.T @ 34:22
With correspondent Tom Mintier who would report on the disaster throughout the day.
Liftoff occurred at 11:38:00 A.M E.S.T with The explosion 73 seconds into flight.
CNN would stay on the air with out commercial breaks for the next 6 hours.
