A story on Mashable which, in leu of a highly “connected” world, is probably worth consideration.
“Reaction to disappointment and reality testing occur more quickly face to face,” he said in a release. “There is a narrowness with texting, and you don’t get to see the breadth of a person that you need to see.”
Anyone with half a brain should know that volumes of crucial interpersonal information is lost when two people choose to communicate via veiled electronic means. Beyond even the words we speak, it is the pacing, it is the breathing, eye contact, body language, it is you and your partner truly conversing, acting and reacting in a manner devoid of obstacles behind which to hide. Sure, you can say one thing, but feel something else, but our eyes betray our dishonest intentions, and from of all this being out in the open, we are truly conversing.
Anyway, just a thought which was brought back to the surface with the publishing of this obvious fact.
So yes… here are some images which I thought were funny, interesting or particularly striking.

An eerily appropriate tableau for human life: a Russian soldier playing an abandoned piano in Chechnya in 1994.

And lastly, my favourite… the fox and the grapes.
I’ll probably return to this one day, and do a full post dedicated to this.
Take care, and stay connected; make sure you get some genuine face to face time in with those you love.
